diamond love

Being a jeweler, I'm drawn to diamond shapes.  Naturally, I'm obsessed with Larissa Hadjio's leather bags.

Initially the diamond series stole my heart, but then I noticed the deep sea series and fell even harder.  The squid bag and hammerhead shark duffel?  I'm in love.

...this happened

Life has been pretty crazy and wonderful the past six months or so.  My business is growing, I'm planning many exciting things for the future AND I got married!

I wanted to share a glimpse into that very special day in September when I married the love of my life.

I usually don't get too personal, but I want to take a moment to say how thankful I am to have Scott, my new husband, in my life.  Running a business is nothing short of a major challenge, and Scott has stood by my side since the very beginning.  He believes in me without question, comforts me after disappointment, calms me in stressful situations and wholeheartedly supports what I do.  He even learned to make jewelry so that he could help out when I'm in a bind.

I'm often so busy that I don't take the time to properly tell him how grateful I am to have him by my side.  So, my love, this one is for you.

...of course there were LOTS of rings!

* A very big THANK YOU to Audre Van Broers for taking these lovely images

New York Gift

A few weeks back I exhibited at New York Gift for the first time.  It was hectic, but wonderful.  We're super busy with production in the studio making beautiful things to send to all of the new accounts we picked up across the country!

lookbook preview

My goodness, my life has been hectic the past several weeks, er months.  I just returned from New York, but let's back track a bit.  Here is a little behind the scenes peek at my lookbook shoot from a few weeks ago.  I'll be releasing the images in all of their glory soon.  Stay tuned!

I love working with photographer Audre Van Broers, it always feels effortless.  Not to mention her images are absolutely stunning.  And our model, Savannah?  Hello, gorgeous.

always, always adjusting the jewelry.

Designer & Muse

A while back, photographer Caroline Schiff came into the studio to shoot a personal project about designer and muse.  It was a great deal of fun and I loved the juxtaposition of having a lithe model bedecked in jewels in my gritty work space.

sapphires, sapphires & more sapphires

I recently completed this custom blue Ceylon Sapphire ring in white gold.  I love how the sleek modern shape of the ring is given a more natural feel by intentionally scattering different size stones.

Trunk Show at Esqueleto

If you're in the Bay Area, please come by and say hello!  Friday is Art Murmur in Oakland, so there are many fun things to do.  Esqueleto is part of Temescal Alley which is always a good choice on First Fridays.  Or, stop by on Saturday while you're visiting East Bay Open Studios.  So many wonderful things going on this weekend in Oakland!  It makes me smile.

cabin in the woods

Just recently my man, my pup and I packed up and headed North for a short little getaway.  We explored the Russian River and Sonoma Coast.  There was a lot of relaxing, hiking and eating.  The fresh air, rolling hills and big trees has me dreaming of one day having our own little cabin in the woods and getting back to the basics.

Ruina

A little glimpse at one of my new pieces, the Ruina Ring. This darling was inspired by Mayan ruins I saw on a recent trip to Mexico. It's available in sterling silver or gold with diamonds by special order. You can score yourself some at Esqueleto in Oakland.
