love & marriage...

I recently made this set of bands for a Bay Area couple that got married at the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. Um, hello? How awesome is that? If I could get married anywhere it would be at a museum, the OMCA to be precise.

I love how the raised part of her band wraps around the ring like a blade of grass. It looks good from any angle. The diamonds add an extra bit of specialness. I also made pretty little gifts for the bridesmaids, so stay tuned to see those.

One of my favorite jewelry designers, Lauren Wolf, just opened a light and airy atelier in Oakland. I'm very happy to be one of the featured designers and am among other great talent.

The jewel-box shop has already received some great press from both Daily Candy and Refinery29, so I'll defer you there to do your homework.

east coast event

It was wonderful to see loyal customers and meet new ones during my trunk show at Stephen Gallant Jewelers on Cape Cod a few weeks back. Thank you to everyone that came out to shop and show support during one of the most fabulous beach days of the year. Now, that takes some serious dedication from even from the most adamant jewelry lover!
Perhaps my favorite moment of the day. Steve (my very first jewelry mentor) actually sized a ring for ME, instead of the other way around. Thanks Steve!

...where to begin?

So much has been going on lately, and I'm way behind in sharing. I guess I'll transport back in time a few weeks and share some personal news-I'm engaged! The love of my life (past 8 years officially, but back to middle school in my dreams) asked me to be his lady for life and I couldn't be happier. We were camping at the Russian River in Northern Cali and post swim he proposed. It was weird, like it wasn't really happening, and then it was over and we were back to our content little life.

To say that we're a non traditional couple is a bit of an understatement. My engagement ring (this pretty little St Kilda number) will become my wedding band once I get around to making my engagement ring. We like to do things backwards, as in live together for 8 years, buy a house, get married at some point. And kids? I have 2 already and am hoping for a third. They're cute, furry and require my attention only on occasion. Our wedding plan so far includes a motorcycle club, food truck, cupcakes and a city park.
