One-Of-A-Kind Skull Link Necklace

I created this beauty for Esqueleto's two year anniversary party.  I'm really pleased with how it came out, and quite honestly if no one snatches it up, I'll happily hang on to it myself!  The skulls are oxidized silver with white diamonds connected by 14k gold rivets.  The party is happening tonight from 6-9 during which you can view all of the specially created skull themed pieces by Esqueleto's amazing array of designers, as well as Chloe Aftel's work.

The Serpent Convertible Ring/Necklace for *A Rarity*

I created this limited edition Serpent piece for Kate Ellen's gorgeous boutique Crown Nine.  Kate created an amazing project called "A Rarity" in which she asks jewelry designers to create a special piece in small quantities available exclusively through Crown Nine.  I created this Serpent ring in slightly oxidized sterling silver with a beautiful green diamond.  The best part about the piece is that it also comes with a sparkling cable chain with pyrite bead so that it can be worn as a necklace too.  I love this  design because it is a little bit edgy, but also delicate and completely wearable-in two way nonetheless!  Once these sell out....that's it!

I recently created this sweet understated take on a mother's necklace.  The twins initials are stamped onto a silver disk with a gold bezel and pretty diamond.  I hope she will never take it off!

Being in a wedding party can be stressful/amazing/overwhelming/exciting/expensive/and everything in between. It's all worth it the minute you see your best friend/sister/soon-to-be sister in-law bathed in white and looking all ethereal.

Perhaps the master and creme de la creme of costume jewelry designers, Tom Binns. I think I love it so much because it's completely different than my jewelry, but so amazingly awesome.

shackled...

My shackle jewelry is often interpreted in different ways. Some people blush (no, no, they're not that kind of shackles) and some get an equestrian reference. Well, my inspiration for this collection was actually the shipping industry. Shackles are often used in the rigging systems of many types of boats. I loved how the "pin" that goes through the shackle allowed me to come up with creative ways to connect the shackle links.

Below is my newest piece in the collection, the Shackle Long Necklace. It's a bit funky and edgy and totally perfect for a plain white boyfriend tee.

pretty little necklaces all in a row...

One of my oldest and dearest friends got married recently, and as my gift I created these dainty little silver and diamond necklaces for all of the girlies in the wedding party. On the back of each is engraved "J+C" in reference to the bride and groom. They looked fantastic with our lovely floor-length dresses and pearl stud earrings & bracelets.

Opposites Attract

I recently had a gallery owner suggest that I make my key chain necklace with an oxidized key and shiny chain instead of shiny key and oxidized chain. I obliged, and am in love with the results! Not only did it look really cool on its own and make the diamond stand out, but it immediately made me think.....layering! How great do both look together? I would go for three together hanging at varying lengths-oxidized, shiny, oxidized. Perfection!

Do The Wave

I had a little polishing machine accident last week, day of the Indie Awards, and ended up in the ER making sure my hand was *only* bruised and battered rather than broken. Good news-no broken bones! Bad news-missed the Awards and haven't been able to make jewelry.

I'm hoping to get back into the studio this Wednesday and start working on my stack of orders that is piling up.

I had a dear old friend contact me and ask if I could resurrect this style to sell at a surf shop she merchandises. Yes, I said, of course. Here is the initial grouping of these sterling silver beauties. Some on chain, some on leather, some with a diamond, some without.

I recently sent Taylor of Sterling Style a selection of my Treasure Coin and Flotsam & Jetsam necklaces to sport on her amazing blog.
